If your Internet connection is slow, ultimately you want to find out how to fix it or make it faster. Below are some troubleshooting techniques.
If your Internet connection is plugged into a managed device try the following:
- Check for interface resets or errors.
- Check for duplex misconfigurations. (We hard code most links for 100 Full)
- Hook up a laptop to the Internet feed directly and see if the issue persists.
- Did you make a configuration change? If so, could it affect bandwidth?
- If you still have issues submit a ticket.
If your Internet connection is plugged into a non-managed device try the following:
- Check all cables / cords and replace if possible.
- Power cycling the device.
