How do I change my email password in webmail?

There are a number of ways to change the password to your email account. The easiest being from a webmail client. This is easy because you don't have to log into the control panel and most users cannot for one reason or another (e.g. permissions, not the admin).

Below is a list of webmail clients with the respective servers:

LINUX1

  • Horde

LINUX2

  • Squirrelmail
  • Roundcube
  • UebiMiau
  • Horde (Coming Soon)

NOTE

We recommend you change your password on Linux1 using Horde and Linux2 using Squirrelmail.

 

HORDE

If you are using horde simply follow these steps:

  1. Login to your webmail account.
  2. On the left expand "My Account."
  3. Click on "Password"
  4. Type in your old password and the new password.
  5. Click on "Change Password"
  6. That's it.

SQUIRRELMAIL

If you are using squirrelmail simply follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the squirrelmail page. (which is usually http://domain/squirrelmail)
  2. Click on "Change your Email Password"
  3. Type in your "email address"
  4. Type in your "old password and new password"
  5. Click on "Change Password"
  6. That's it.

UEBIMIAU

If you are using UebiMiau it cannot be done at this time. We are still looking for the best way to implement.

ROUNDCUBE

If you are using roundcube simply follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the roundcube page. (which is usually http://domain/roundcube)
  2. Login using your username and password.
  3. Click on "Settings"
  4. Click on the "Password" tab.
  5. A blank page will appear. This is an error with roundcube.  Please be patient while we fix this issue.
