SSL Certificate Ordering Process with OCOSA

If you are here, then you are wondering how this process will work. OCOSA sells the same brands as other providers. We provide you access to Symantec (VeriSign, GeoTrust, RapidSSL, Thawte) and Comodo. Yes, Symantec acquired all of those brands.

The process is quite simple. The process may not be the same for all SSL Certificate Brands and/or for SSL Certificates that require organization validation (OV). SSL Certs that require OV there will be additional steps such as phone call from the SSL Brand.

Note: Please make sure you use the correct legal name and your organization is registered and current with your business registration authority.

Simply follow the steps below.

Steps:

1. Decide which certificate will best for your site(s), server(s), and/or UC/SAN.

2. Browse to https://myportal.ocosa.net/cart.php?gid=12 to order a SSL Certificate.
3. Pay for the SSL Certificate.
4. Open the email from us titled "SSL Certificate Configuration Required".
5. Select the Web Server Type. (If you are unsure ask your hosting provider)
6. Provide the CSR information. (If you need help generating CSR, check the knowledgebase or your provider)
7. Update the Administrative Contact Information.
8. Click Next.
9. Review the SSL Certificate Information.
10. Select the Certificate Approver Email.
11. Click Next.
12. SSL Certification Configuration is Complete.
13. Open email from RapidSSL/GeoTrust/Comodo and click on Approval Link.
14. Click "I Approve" if you authorized the request.
15. Order successfully Approved. (you should be receiving an email directly from the SSL Brand you chose.
